On February 20th, 2008 Astra Group throughout Indonesia kicked off the “Go Green With Astra” reforestation program. With the theme of “one tree per employee”, there will be 116,867 trees planted in conjunction with the total number of Astra Group’s employees at the moment.
With the aforementioned theme, UT along with Multi Prima Universal will plant around 1,200 trees in conjunction with its number of employees in branch and representative offices throughout Indonesia.
During the Environmental Day on June 5th, 2008, UT and Multi Prima Universal along with its subcontractors and together with PT Jalan Tol Lingkar Luar Jakarta (JLJ) carried out the reforestation program by planting 1,000 trees around the Jakarta outer ring toll road. Also present at the event were Terman Siregar (Mayor of East Jakarta), Ir. A. Tito Karim MM (Director of PT JLJ), Edhie Sarwono (Director of Human Capital, Environment Social Responsibility & General Affairs of PT United Tractors Tbk), as well as representatives from the management and work union.
